Effective Communication TIPS

  1. Really Listen, Don’t Just Wait to Talk. Focus on understanding the other person, not on planning your reply.
  2. Think Before You Speak. A short pause can help you express yourself more clearly and kindly.
  3.  Use “I” Statements. Say how you feel rather than blaming (“I feel hurt” vs. “You hurt me”).
  4. Stay Calm, Even When It’s Hard. Deep breathing can help you respond with clarity instead of reacting emotionally.
  5. Watch Your Body Language. Smile, keep an open posture, and maintain friendly eye contact — it speaks louder than words. 
  6. Ask Questions to Show You Care. Genuine curiosity (“How did that make you feel?”) strengthens any relationship.
